Hip to the Hop Don't Stop!

Alright, let's take a look at some more Warped artists, shall we?

Shad

As you can see, I caught the lyrical stylings of a certain Shad at Warped Tuesday. (Check the stripey hat, y'all!) I noticed he had an ad in Alternative Press before the show, and was excited to know that there was a hip-hop artist doing Warped. So, I caught his set, and I was impressed. Easily one of the best rappers I've heard for a while, I'll stick him up there with N.E.R.D and The Roots in my mind. Though not as big, he's DEFINITELY got the talent. A lot of his show was freestyling his transitions, making fun of emos along the way, which was HILARIOUS. One of the more fun songs he did talked about living with his parents, saving cash. That was the premise of the ENTIRE song. Seriously, check him out. He's the bomb.

3OH!3
Though they may not exactly be hip-hop straight up, they're still enough like it to lump them in this category. Their show was (again) amazing. Though, their set does have its faults. The major one being that it hadn't changed. I heard the exact same songs in what seemed to be the exact same order. I was a bit bummed about that, but the energy of the crowd made up for it. By the time they were through, I had left the pit, fearing a blackout, which almost occured. If I hadn't had grabbed some water... Dang. But the best part of their show was this kid, who climbed probably fifteen feet up a light post in the back of the pit. The duo both commented on it. After jumping from his perch to be caught by the crowd, I saw nothing more of the dude. Then, that night, I read this tweet from Sean Foreman of 3OH!3:
kidquizine: to the kid who climbed the light post. Brilliant. sorry you were kicked out!
I had no idea he got thrown out of the place! That's hardcore, man.
