I am a Pirate, You are a Princess!

So, Tofu happens to be in DISNEY WORLD as I type this up. Lucky dog. He's been tweeting about it all day, enough to make me go back through my pictures from a year ago. Man, that place is INTENSE! I've been there a few times, and every time it's so much better.

My favorite ride there would surprise many of the people who know me well. It is not Pirates of the Caribbean, but is in fact The Haunted Mansion. Disney redid the effects a couple years ago, making it the single greatest thing in the Magic Kingdom. It's like you're in a movie, the effects are that great. The singing statues have never felt so alive, and some of the mirror effects the Imagineers use are INGENIOUS. It's probably one of the most surreal experiences of my lifetime.

Pirates, on the other hand, had a few changes made to it a few years ago, as well. They decided to stick Captain Jack Sparrow and some other characters from the movie in the ride. Though it's cool to see the new features, I will say it spoiled the ride for me the last time I went through. It's not the same ride I knew as a child, and I'm sort of upset by that.
